oh, the pain
I recieved a letter addressed to the Guild and I (which is so odd) today, from Storey Publishing. They're collecting patterns for a one skein book, and asked if we/I had any patterns to submit. Sadly, the reply by date was February 28. University mail takes forever, I guess. I just sent an email to the editor, asking if they're still accepting submissions - cuz I have 2 patterns I can think of right away - the femme watchcap and my cabled panta (which I reallyreally need to type up...). Oh, maybe even my preemie pattern - I totally messed up the crown decrease, but it actually creates this star motif instead of a smooth top - talk about cool mistakes.
Anyway, I also know that I have a bunch o' friends who also have really cool patterns. So. If they're still accepting patterns, I'll let all y'all know.
I have to go and finish my costume samples. Only 6 more to go, woohoo. OHHH! I have been assigned Puck's pants for my Midterm project. I have absolutely NO idea how difficult this is going to be, but it looks kinda cool. And odd. I can't remember the last time I made trousers... I guess we'll find out, eh?
Also, I got another repeat done on my stole last night - I am almost 1/4 done. So close. It's a bit embarassing, tho, since you can totally see where I switched from JAP 6's to US 8's. Yeah, the pain. But, it's my first large lace project, so I am determined NOT to care.
