Gauge
No idea about gauge. I didn't think it was too small, since there is 1 scene where you can make out the knit stitches on one of the Gryffindor scarves, and they seem decent sized to me. I don't know that we'll be able to see it again in the theater any time soon to make that out, though. You could very well be right, and I wasn't taking into account the fact that I was watching it on a large screen.
